When summertime daydrinking beckons – and when does it not in Vegas – there are loads of options for partying (or relaxing with a glass of champagne) at these top-level dayclubs.
1. Encore Beach Club
Wynn Encore’s answer to daylife is a stunning complex of pools, bright orange daybeds, five-star cabanas, palm trees, champagne, cocktails by the pitcher, delectable grilled food, and pretty people dancing in the blazing desert sun. Prince Harry took a liking to the fabulous party, as have many other celebrities. Arrive early, as it can be hard to get to into, especially when world-famous DJs and hosts like David Guetta, Diplo, and Skrillex are making an appearance. Daytime hours are currently from 11am-7pm Fridays and Sunday and 10am-7pm on Saturdays. Nighttime pool parties (Thursdays & Fridays only) kick off April 28th.(702)770.7300 encorebeachclub.com
2. Rehab
The most infamous pool party of them all, Hard Rock Hotel’s 10-year-old Rehab is absolutely legendary. Lines to get in can be more than an hour long in the blistering heat, but no one seems to mind. Inside, the pool deck is covered in sand, and guests famously let loose as if they were on a remote beach. To help them along: “swim-up” blackjack tables, poolside spa treatments, stiff drinks, and food from the Beach Club Bar & Grill. Rehab at the Hard Rock is open Fridays through Sundays and starts at 11am. (702) 605‑4000 rehablv.com3. Drai’s Beach Club
Looking for the ultimate rooftop party? Drai’s huge, open-air, rooftop beachclub, sits 11 stories high and is pulling in the crowds. The venue has two large pools, bedecked with VIP cabanas – and a stunning Strip view. There is also a private pool on a second level, with five additional bungalows overlooking the Strip. Do you enjoy nighttime pool parties? Join them on Tuesday April 22nd for the Grand Opening of Night Splash! The rooftop pool is open for 2016 from 10am-6pm Monday-Thursday and the Beach Club is open 11am-6pm Friday – Sunday.(702) 777-3800 draisbeachclub.com
4. Wet Republic
The powers-that-be at Wet Republic run DJ mecca Hakkasan during nighttime hours, so you can imagine the day-drinking soaked party that descends on MGM Grand. Bungalows come with private Jacuzzis and security detail, and there’s a menu of “skinny” drinks for those worried about keeping their figure bikini ready. There are even two salt-water pools for those who think they’ve seen it all. Currently open Friday-Sunday. Wet Republic will be open Thursday through Monday after the official grand opening weekend in April, when heavyweights Tiësto and Steve Aoki are both set to DJ. Check the official calendar for details. (702) 891-3715 http://www.wetrepublic.com/
5. Bare
An intimate pool lounge tucked away in the back of The Mirage, Bare is less wild dayclub and more European lounge. Yes, in that light, the club is even top-optional, and security is beefed up to make sure everyone accordingly acts with the utmost respect. From the owners of restaurant powerhouses Yellowtail, Fix, and Stack, Bare also serves brunch, as well as various sandwiches and pizzas – and buckets of booze, of course. Opened March 10th. Hours are from 11am-6pm Thursday-Monday. (702) 588-5656 barepoollv.com
6. Marquee
Three-story bungalows lord over this Cosmopolitan hot spot, which is decked out with infinity pools, cabanas tricked out with private hot tubs, and a party deck. Laid out on the 17th floor of the hotel (check-in is on casino level), Marquee, like its nighttime namesake, brings in the most sought-after house DJs, such as Cedric Gervais and Cash Cash. It’s A-list guest book is the best of the best, kicked off by Rihanna herself, a woman who never misses a good party. Open for the 2016 season daily from 11am-Sunset. 702-333-9000 marqueelasvegas.com
7. Tao Beach
Its signature orange draping, lush landscape, and bamboo trees allow guests to transport themselves from Venetian to a faraway retreat in a country like Thailand for an afternoon of drinking, people-watching, and sun-bathing. Tao Beach is small but popular, so get there early and spring for a cabana. You’ll be glad for the space for dancing to DJs such as Javier Alba and Eric Dlux. Tao Beach is open for the 2016 season and runs 11:00am-Sunset Thursday-Sunday. 702-388-8588 taolasvegas.com
8. Liquid Pool Lounge
Aria’s white-washed pools make the perfect setting for a tropical oasis in the Las Vegas desert. Liquid Pool Lounge is CityCenter’s answer to daytime dance club, the liveliest of a diverse arsenal of pools. Everyone from Ludaris to Tom Cruise’s son, Connor, has performed there. Liquid Pool Lounge is open Wed – Sun 11am to 6pm. Catch a Lil Jon DJ Set on April 7th for Grand Opening Weekend. 702.693.8300 liquidpoollv.com
9. Daylight
Things get wild at Daylight – a 50,000-square-foot sun emporium outside the back of Mandalay Bay. The stage is a whopping 1,500 square feet, leaving plenty of room for DJs and performers like Alesso and J. Cole. Daylight hails from the same people who brought Vegas 1Oak and Light, so expect an alcohol-soaked daytime dance party. Daylight Beach Club opens at noon on Thursdays and Sundays and 11am on Fridays and Saturdays. (702) 693-8300 daylightvegas.com
10. Palms Pool and Dayclub
Home to Ditch Fridays, which has been convincing in-the-know locals to play hooky from work for years, Palms Pool carries on the hotel’s reputation as a resort that knows how to party. (For special events like a P. Diddy concert, the pool even stays open at night.) Three distinct pools offer separate environments, so there’s something for everybody. Palms Pool & Dayclub opened in March and “Ditch Fridays” premiers on May 6th with a party hosted by @KirillWasHere. (702) 942-6831 palms.com
