Las Vegas Resort Fees
Resort Fees! It’s hard to try and explain them without either laughing or getting angry. Basically, in addition to your regular room rate, most hotels (even those that aren’t really resorts) tack on a nightly resort fee for various hotel services and amenities. It’s essentially a marketing ploy that allows hotels/resorts to keep advertised room rates lower and it gets more ridiculous every year. We are now at the point where, in some cases, the nightly resort fee is higher than the advertised room rate. It’s possible to pay more for the hotel services (that you probably aren’t using and cost the hotel next to nothing) than you are for the room!
Here’s your one-stop shop for checking who’s charging what and what you get in return. Let us know if there is a hotel you’d like us to add. If you spot a mistake, just leave a comment and we’ll correct it.
