Aussie beauty Olivia Newton-John is the latest singer to take up residence in Las Vegas. The performer is set to take the Vegas stage this April inside of The Flamingo Showroom at Flamingo Las Vegas while sibling duo Donny and Marie Osmond take a break from performing.
Featuring an eight-piece band, audience members will be treated to a potpourri of her well-known tunes (hello, “Physical”) in the aptly titled “Summer Nights” show. Newton-John, who is best known for her portrayal as Sandy in the Hollywood adaption of the musical “Grease,” promises to deliver some of the film’s most popular tunes including “You’re the One That I Want,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and (of course) “Summer Nights.”
The performer has sold more than 100 million albums, racked up four Grammys, earned an Emmy, has had 10 number one hits and upwards of 15 top 10 singles. She holds the Order of Australia honor as well as the Order of the British Empire by the Queen.
Newton-John has remained largely out of the spotlight since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. After beating the disease, she partnered with Austin Health to create the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in her hometown, Melbourne. A portion of the price of every ticket sold for “Summer Nights” will benefit her centre.
Tickets to the show, which kicks off April 8 and spans 45 performance through the end of August, are available now. Visit FlamingoLasVegas.com for more info.
